The Hiraodai is national park of the Japan.
There is a limestone cave!!
You can enjoy mountain climbing, a limestone cave, and a wonderful scene.
You can go to about 30~40 minutes by car also from the city area in Kitakyushu.
A near station is Ishihara-machi
but It is far from a station up to a mountain.
I recommend you to go by taxi from a station.

Very beautiful scenery on the top of the mountain, yet quiet enough to have picnic here. Plus it is free entry!

I worked in the woods for many years & have seen much more interesting karst formations elsewhere.
