The trees are gigantic and the scenery is really beautiful. It's a shrine to the Shinto Kami Hachiman but pretty much everyone is welcome in the park area. You can sometimes see different festivals taking place there.

An easy walk from the JR train station. Has historical ties with Shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu. There is a large old camphor tree with some story associated with Ieyasu. I didn’t have a guidebook or pamphlet to explain what I was seeing but I think it is worth visiting.
