It has always been a dream of mine to see Orcas in the wild and not only did we see 3 different groups of Orcas but we got insanely lucky and saw a group of 8 feeding! We left out of Anacortes and heard reports that there were Orcas to the south, so we headed down and ran into a... More

Our adventure today was amazing! We saw gray whales within the first 30 min of our tour and watched three surface and dive for quite awhile. One of them even spyhopped and it was so awesome!!! Got a couple of fluke photos too. The crew was very friendly, courteous, and helpful. Glad to have a naturalist there telling us all... More

Ashley, Thank you so much for choosing Island Adventures. Spyhops are so fun! We don't see them all that often, especially from gray whales, so I'm glad you had an opportunity to watch a whale watching you! We'll pass your compliments along to the crew. It was a pleasure having you aboard! More

Saw 3 species of whales. I have gone several times and always see whales. Wonderful staff and a great naturalist onboard.

I wondered how they could guarantee that we would see whales, it is nature after all. Well we found out. We took the three hour tour out of Everett on a day that was rainy and choppy and couldn't find one whale. If they don't spot a whale, then you get to keep coming back until you do. So be... More

Thank you so much for joining us - twice! We take our whale guarantee very seriously. Our goal is that every single passenger get to experience whales in the wild, and I'm glad you were able to take advantage of another free tour during your visit to make that happen! The spyhop photos from that day were fantastic! Definitely a... More

They live up to their promise that you will see whales. We traveled from Anacortes through the San Juan Islands and close enough to Vancouver Island to say that we were in Canadian Waters. We were about to turn back and all of a sudden two separate pods of orcas put on a spectacular show. Everything you could hope for.... More

Bill, Thank you so much for taking the time to write about your experience. It sounds like you and your grandson had a great tour! There are few things more spectacular than seeing orcas in the wild. It was a pleasure having you aboard! More

We had a great time. We boarded the boat off Pier 66 and right from the start our crew was very friendly and knowledgeable! The boat ride was smooth and the galley had good coffee and hot chocolate. The boat ride through the Puget Sound would have been worth the trip. Our naturalist gave great information about all of the... More

Alexandria, We're so pleased that we could be a part of your mom's memorable birthday visit! Some people go whale watching dozens of times and never see a breaching humpback whale, so you definitely had luck on your side! We'll pass your kind comments along and hope to see you back on the water! More

It took us a full day to find 3-5 orcas that always stay underwater (da, ?) But hear me out, it was pretty disappointing. It was also a pretty exhausting tour because we have to constantly be on the lookout for the orcas (because they dive in and show up elsewhere) and I get a little sea sick. The orcas... More

Thank you for taking time to review your tour. Here at Island Adventures, we adhere to all local and federal guidelines for watching whales. For orcas, the regulations state that we cannot approach killer whales within 200 yards. It is very important to us to respect the whales and their space. As for not having WiFi, we find that it's... They will bend over backwards to find whales. I am a season pass holder and we have gone as far north as Salt Spring Island in Canada. As Far East as Race Rocks past Victoria Canada and as far south as Edmonds. These are great trips where you see all kinds of wildlife and you have a very knowledgeable naturalist... More

We've been whale watching on all seven continents, but my wife and I had yet to see orcas in the wild - it was our jinx marine mammal. So expectations were high when we visited Anarcortes and Island Adventures did not let us down. This is an extremely professional organization from top to bottom. The people are friendly and informative... More
