Great view. On a clear day you can see Mt Rainier. You can also see mount baker. It's really pretty. You can pack a picnic and there are areas you can eat.

We drove up to Mt. Erie viewpoints and were pleased with what we saw. Lots of trees to contend with on eastern view as mentioned by others. Southern viewpoint which is next to towers offers a great view to the south. On the drive down...More

We made our way to Mount Erie, the highest point on the island, by following the curvy 2 mile drive up the mountain. Our view of Anacortes and Fidalgo Bay was obstructed by cloud cover and tall pines compounded by me failing to consult my...More

Loved the views and the hiking. Beware of bees if you're planning on having a picnic. I would love to try the mountain climbing next time.

This was my biggest surprise in my stay in Anacortes. You have no idea what to expect when you drive the road up to the summit of Mt Erie, even when parking. You need to walk 2 minutes to the view point (the one looking...More

You can reach the summit of Mt Erie by car or hiking trail. There are excellent views, mainly to the south, east, and west.

The road to the top was a little scary, but once you are there it is breathtakingly beautiful - - great viewing spot of the "island within an island" - It was incredible and so very scenic all the way.

Friends of ours recommended that we take a drive to Mt Erie Park while we were visiting Anacortes. The drive was very scenic. The view of Anacortes is exceptional but you have to make sure you walk to the correct look out as one of...More

Mt. Erie is only a short drive from downtown Anacortes, making it worth taking in the view but even the view from the top was, not surprisingly, obscured by the trees. The drive up is steep and fairly narrow but not too difficult, though I...More

This place exceeded our expectations. Though the park is relatively small, it has everything you can ask for in a mountain park: a steep narrow winding drive, spectacular lookout point, and a scenic hike. The view of San Juan Islands from the top is well...More
