The carillon is located adjacent to the Marine Corps War Memorial, right next to Arlington National Cemetery, and was gifted to the United States by the people of the Netherlands as thanks for US support during World War II. The bells chime on the hour...More

You can visit it while walking to the Marine memorial, but it's uninspiring and I wouldn't go out of your way to see it

It's hard to tell what it is at first, just between the long walk in Arlington Cemetery and The U.S. Marine Corps War Memorial, its the perfect place to take a break and relax, big open field, sweet bells!

My husband and I walked here late at night since it was close to our hotel and the views were amazing. We sat for a little while and enjoyed the views and all the airplanes coming in! Great place for views of DC.

I had never heard of this before so reading the story behind it was interesting. The carillon itself is a very cold and intimidating structure which is a strong contrast to what it represents. The guide at Arlington mentioned that they held concerts there during...More

The beautiful music can be heard throughout the cemetery. Lovely tones! Creates just the right atmosphere for this truly solemn sacred place of American history. Fitting tribute to all the heroes buried in the cemetery. I would love to see the Carillon when the tulips...More

A gift from the people of the Netherlands to the people of the US. Beautiful music at the right time of day, and I'm sad that the tulips were out of season when I visited.
