Very good community theatre. Consistently high level of performances. A hidden gem really. Only complaint would be that some of the performances are a bit too long. If they had ended half an hour earlier would have been perfect.

We attended a performance of Steven Sondheim's "A Little Night Music", which I had seen many years ago in London's West End. The Signature production was every bit as good, The actors were all highly talented and sang the difficult music with great aplomb. The...More

We loved the production of A Little Night Music. This theater keeps in the game by getting good talent and good organization and direction.

We've been attending theater in the greater Washington, DC area for years and Signature Theater does a consistent job of putting on high quality performances in a very nice and intimate setting.

There is really no more emotionally satisfying experience than listening to great music while seated in a small intimate venue. Where we were setting (first row west) we felt like we were part of the cast! The staging of key scenes, such as the death...More

We thoroughly enjoyed the show. However, we observed that while the orchestra was very good, they drowned out the voices of the actors especially when the entire cast sang. The sound system was very good but the singers voices could not overcome the penetrating sound...More

This theatre in suburban Virginia seems to showcase a lot of musicals, most of them revivals. The small opera company, Urban Arias, uses one of the smaller theaters in the building. Parking is readily available. It is just a bit out of the way for...More

We went to see Jesus Christ Superstar at the Signature for Mother's Day. While I can't say I was thrilled with the show, the theater has a lot to be said for it. Firstly, It is very easy for handicapped people to access it and...More

This is one of my favorite theaters to go to. There's always a wide variety of shows to choose from. The theaters are small, but intimate. There's not a bad seat in any of the theaters. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The Shirlington area...More

The chairs were regular chairs, comfortable enough and no shelf for beverages. Costumes were typical for a play or musical. The theater we were in had a lazy Susan type stage (with half stage behind wall for set changes) and... More
