I work in the Pentagon, so I see this every day. But come at dusk, when the lights are on in the reflecting pools, and the area is not bustling with the daily activities. The placement of the benches have special meanings, so take the...More

I often find visiting memorials to be a time to reflect rather than be wowed. This time, however, you will also have the wow factor. The design is very unique and touching. The direction the "bench" is facing will tell you whether the person(s) inscribed...More

We enjoyed walking through the memorial and listening to the audio tour. It is a nice memorial but we left underwhelmed with the experience. It is very well thought through with a lot of meaning but was a quick visit.

The memorial is very nice, very unique design. The building is huge! It was hard to imagine how much of the building was damaged

This site embodies the memories of 911 and those who dies in the Pentagon then. It is a quick walk around or just see from a distance.

I spent the visit thanking each one of the soldiers who were memorialized. Bring tissues. If you were alive at this time, you cannot help but remember. We will never forget.

A quiet reflection opportunity at the Pentagon. Located 10-minute walk from the shopping mall at Pentagon City. You will not be able to take photographs at the memorial, however as these are prohibited in the area of the Pentagon.

The easiest way is to get onto the Metro (if I remember correctly, there’s a blue line right there at that hotel) and get off at the Pentagon stop. From there, exit the station and follow the signs around the Pentagon... More
