I didn't get the full experience of this beautiful memorial because I did not take a tour. However, just being there was impressive and the detailed memorial is beautiful. I suggest having a guide or at least researching before you visit.

we took the subway at night and walked almost half way around the pentagon to get to it. it was fairly well lit and a solemn place.

I remember this area both before and after 9/11. I took this for granted when I worked here for three years walking by it almost every day. Take your time to sit down and reflect. It is mesmerizing.

The design of this Memorial is beautifully laid out with each unique bench with the names of each person carvered on them and a small little water streams under each. A place of quiteness and peace. A Memorial that is a must visit when in...More

I am writing this on Veterans'Day, and as we all appreciate those who gave their lives so that we could live, it is also worth remembering those who gave their lives without knowing why they were doing it. This is a very moving site as...More

I felt honored to be there, this is a beautiful memorial. We rode the metro and had to walk around to the other side of the building. Security as very polite.

We went to see the memorial in the evening and it is breathtaking, somber, moving yet beautiful. Much thought was put into each detail - the setup, the names, water and light.... Take your time, walk around, read the explanations, the names ... It is...More

The easiest way is to get onto the Metro (if I remember correctly, there’s a blue line right there at that hotel) and get off at the Pentagon stop. From there, exit the station and follow the signs around the Pentagon... More
