You can see this Monument from just about anywhere in the DC area. Well worth a little side trip just to walk around.pretty cool place. The architecture is stunning. With all the glass steel and Aluminum.
The spires are amazing works of art depicting the missing man formation flown when we lose a brother in arms. Word of advice don't stand in center and try to look straight up you will fall over. Also stay off the grass.
This new memorial is just right to salute the history and present mission of the U.S. Air Force. Three silver arcs rise up dramtically to replicate contrails. Also a good spot to hear the AF band in concert.

We weren't aware of this memorial but we could see it from our hotel window at the Residence Inn Pentagon City. It is well worth the visit. The tall structures represent the Burst Maneuver done by the Thunderbirds.
