She was invited to the opening and dedication however she was too ill to make the trip. She sent countless photographs and writings and not being able to go i know hurt her very deeply. Im in dc visiting... More

I was at the memorial when it was dedicated and I wanted to see the most recent changes. It is a breathtakingly beautiful structure. I spent the better part of an hour there and wished I could have spent more time. This memorial is well worth the time and effort to see. Truly an outstanding tribute to the women who... More

This is the first site you can see once entering Arlington Memorial Cemetery (AMC). Its on the right and is surrounded by a Gold leaf covered iron fence. My wife is a retired First Sergeant, so she enjoyed seeing the displays showing when she served. In the back there is a room of honor showing all the women who died... More

This memorial is right at the end of the Memorial bridge back by Arlington Cemetery. It is definitely worth taking a few minutes to visit if at the cemetery already.

The museum was booked for a catering event on the day and immediately following the services for Colonel Prevette. The meal was outstanding and the facility and displays were amazing. I was so proud as a woman to realize that so many had served our country and they were being honored with memorabilia and with so many displays. A great... More

Went to a retirement ceremony at this military memorial and discovered a great place championing the role of women in the military. There is a great exhibit that includes a lot of history about women who have served including about 20-30 uniforms through the decades of women serving. Excellent bookstore too. Inexpensive parking close by so is the metro stop.

So many times there has been such little respect for the women who were members of the armed forces. Very nice to see this dedicated to them
