The Birchmere is one of my absolute Favorite venues for going to music concerts! The hall itself has great acoustics. The staff is always friendly and the food is good!

Great music and variety, plus convenient parking. But the business model relies on audiences’ early arrival for first-come seating. In exchange for fabulous live entertainment, the (captive) audience gets sub-par, over-priced food/drink ($8 beer) and a long evening on hard seats. The room was chilly...More

Very enjoyable small venue. Easy seating - FCFS - but even the seats on the side of the stage worked out nicely. Full menu service prior to the show, with a few options for GF folks, but mostly traditional. Good sound quality, lots of history...More

I agree that I have not seen them record. It is worth a phone call to the Birchmere, though. Or even send an email to Darryl's Place in NY to see if it was recorded?
