Huntley Meadows has a very nice boardwalk trail that goes through marshland where turtles, muskrats, birds and other animals and insects can be seen. Once you leave the marshland, there is a walk in the deep, dark woods that children and adults will find peaceful...More

We found this place via google map. We got there Sunday morning, and found out the parking was almost full. We got a map in the visitor center, and started our walk. It is flat easy trail in the woods and boardwalk over the wetland....More

I've lived in this area for 20+ years (ya, like a lot of us, I came for 3 or 4, but here I am still) and this park is almost unchanged after all this time, which I find very encouraging. Used to walk here a...More

Great place to escape the crowded and congested route 1 corridor. One of the few remaining open green spaces left in Northern Virginia. Great place to watch birds, walk your dog, or simply enjoy nature without the crowds and noise.

Birds, creatures is the water, beaver, beaver dams. Something new to find any time of year, any time of day. This island of nature in a sea of development is a quiet treasure and a spot that will feed your soul.

As more and more of Northern Virginia is turned into apartment complexes, strip malls, and government buildings, it's nice to have a place like Huntley Meadows. Tucked between Telegraph and Route 1, most people probably drive by without even knowing its there. Most of the...More

One of northern Virginia's hidden jewels. We visit at all timesof the year. The visitor/nature center is very informative. We visited with our children and then grand children. It is a perfect place for adults to explore and share nature across generation.
