This is a park located on the river side of Old Town Alexandria. There are several parking options. There is a set of parking spots along the west side of the park, street parking around the city, and a free lot south at Jone’s Park which is a 10 min walk away. The park is a large open field with a walkway along the water, that heads both north and south. The park connects to King Street Park, another open field park, just to the north of this one. There is an awning-covered seating area with tables between the two parks. There is a walking trail to the north and south along the river with informational signs and displays that describe the sights along the trail. There are several shops and restaurants in Old Town Alexandria just to the west of the field. The field has several large trees and some well-worn grass. There is a large, “I Love You” sign facing the street that offers a good picture option. It seems a hub of activity the times that I have been there and offers a good view of the Potomac River. It is a good place to visit if you are planning to visit Old Town Alexandria and want an easy place to park and enjoy a walk along the river.

Lovely walk along the waterfront. Paved and well maintained with beautiful views and restaurants along the pathway if you are so inclined.

This park has a nice shaded area with benches, chairs and tables under big trees as well as a pavilion area with tables and chairs. You can enjoy your ice cream or a snack there. You can watch the airplanes come in over the Potomac as well as the boats on the river. Free to the public. It's near restaurants and there was a historical center to visit right on the water, but it was closed due to construction.

Absolutely stunning views of MGM, National Harbor, and DC. The park is beautiful with tons of benches and trees, and I found it to be well lit at night.

Perfect spot during summer to meet with friends while kids plays around in the park.

Park on Lee Street and walk to this lovely and low key park. There are swings, a small playground and lots of open space. The park never seems to be crowded but is much enjoyed by the neighbors. This is a great place to read a book while the children play.

Near the end of King St is the Waterfront Park area, lovely old style river boat parked up and lots of places to wander around, drink and get a great view across the Potomac river, well worth a visit.

I'm not sure if the recent flooding due to Hurricane Florence made this area into a construction zone, but it was almost impossible to visit this area at the end of King Street. It was apparent that flooding had occurred.

When touring through Alexandria in the Summer, head down King Street until you get to the water. There you will find this shady park with benches to relax and enjoy the views.

I thought by the hype that this old train tunnel "sought after for wedding pictures" would be great. It was run down, leaking, and had graffiti at one end. Not the cool pictures I was hoping for,
