This cabin was built by my 6x great grandfather. So that probably makes me a little bias. They've totally restored this cabin back to how it would have been not long after being built. It's a great way to see and learn about life long ago. Worth the easy visit if you're in the beautiful town of Abingdon, VA!

Found this by chance. They were having a car show and we decided to take the day and spend it looking at cars. Was not expecting the old farm house or all the goodies it had to go with it. Such as the sawmill, corncrib, and BlackSmith. If they are having an event you must stop by!!

Fairview offers the visitor a look back at the rural America of 100 years ago . There are vintage farming machinery and tools to see, an old house to tour and enjoy, and even a community garden plot utilized by 2018 residents of Washington County, Va. Many of the heirloom seeds used in this project are provided by the Washington County Seed Savers Library. Overall , a neat place to visit .

First, the lady who welcomed us and gave us info was knowledgeable and kind. It was a 2 room old farm house with the rooms designed to show life and weaving of the time. That is it. Not impressive.

I know a woman who lives close so one Sunday we walked there. It reminded me of a log cabin in central Iowa
