We went up the futures trail and started 1/2 way up ...very rocky but terrific views The fire tower at the top was excellent and we could see all of Vermont from the viewpoint

This is a very old campground, sites 1-18 were built by the CCC. Sites 19-38 and the lean-tos are newer. Cabins are in the works. Each section has a bathhouse with sinks, stalls and a shower. Shower costs quarters. Sites are raked after checkout and...More

Nice hike to the top of the mountain and beautiful views of the area. Easy to get to and the trails are user friendly.

I recommend driving 3/4 of the way up the mountain and then taking the mile hike to the observation tower from there. The views, from the top, are beautiful and there are a lot of great spots to picnic and enjoy the views.
