We love taking the dogs here in the Winter, and strolling the beach. The views are great, the roads are plowed, and there's parking on location.

I have been coming to Alburg Dunes State Park since it was called Palmers Sand Beach. We vacation in the area for over 30 years since I was a kid and the beach is always a highlight of our vacation. Extremely clean beach and water. Perfect for sitting in your beach chair on the waters edge or floating around on... More

The water is clear. The sand is plentiful !!! It's all sandy even way out in the water. It's a beautiful beach I highly recommend it. No bathrooms. Just port o lets. Bring your lunch and drinks.

Many of the beaches on the islands are rocky (not bad for beachcombers!) but if you want an expanse of sandy beach to lounge, linger and swim, this is it! Not a lot of shady spots, so grab your umbrella. Relaxed, casual with drop dead gorgeous vistas of the Adirondacks. Great place for kids to frolic. Park your beach chair... More

We love this beach...shallow and clean water..quiet, roomy and the staff is amazingly friendly. The only downside is there's no bathroom..only port a potties..they are pretty clean though.

The water is very shallow although pretty clean. There are only port-o-potties there, no real bathrooms or changing rooms. Just an OK beach, really - we preferred the North Beach in Burlington, VT by far.

We love going to Alburg Dunes. Get there early - as soon as it opens - and you can be sure to find a nice spot to set up for the day. It does get quite crowded especially on summer weekends. If you can manage a weekday visit it's even better. The area is a beautiful natural sand beach with... More
