I had been wanting to do this for awhile and my friend backed out so went solo on a Saturday night, of course they had just sold out. Got on the waitlist and was pleased to receive a text message in a very short amount...More

I have attended only once a while ago and don't remember much about the show except that I enjoyed it very much and am left with a positive memory.

They show a good old fashioned comedy based in part on current events. Cornball, slapstick, it has it all. We recommed it to everybody. A long-time Austin hit.

No trip to 6th Street would be complete without a trip to Esther's Follies. An Austin original! Beware of sitting on the front row - you may become part of the show! Added bonus - watching the bewildered passers by look in through the window.

I have seen this show a couple of times. I like to go when I'm in Austin visiting. This is an ADULT show. The show is never the same and they are not afraid to cover any topic. Seating is tight but I think worth...More

This was our fourth time here and it never gets old. The content is constantly being rewritten to reflect current events, and hits just the right level of satire and adult humor. Pretty much a PG13 show. Has full bar and you can take your...More

Loved the show! Current events spoof skits, big laughs, fun and magical magician. We reserved open seating right up front, 25.00, get there early and you are front row(if you dare....might end up on stage). They have snacks and full bar, must do!

We've been here before, but I can't imagine coming to Austin without visiting Esther's Follies. The show is comedy and magic, and they excel at both. It's truly hard to describe the comedy: some of it is political, local and national, and very topical. They...More

I've been several times and they always have a nice mix of magic acts and comedy. The two are expertly intertwined. They make fun of all the current politicians along with some old tried and true routines. And they always make jokes about the various...More

This fast moving troupe of talented people keep their material fresh with local humor and classics are well done! Their magician adds an extra flare of fun to a good evening. By happenstance, I went to two shows during a short period of time. It...More

The shows on a weekend are the same. However, the script is modified every week to cover different current events. Where I see the most consistency is with the magic act. But, these are always good and always enjoyed... More

It was largely a liberal crowd and liberal-oriented humor, but far less biting than a lot of what you might see on late-night television. If you ever find this sort of humor funny I expect you will enjoy the show.
