My sides hurt from laughing so much. A lot of political humor but they definitely bash both sides. Highly recommend purchasing tickets in advance!!!!!! They sell out and you have to cross your fingers on the wait list.

This was only my second visit; first one was 20 years ago. Oddly, the general production and skits have not change, only the names! Which means they are doing it right, and have been for a long time. Our group of 4 enjoyed the whole...More

Right on 6th street Esther’s Follies await you. For 40 yrs they have entertained, with a show that is for mid-teens and adults. Satire and major poking fun at our politicians and state of Texas. Magic show which was ok. Lots of singing and skits....More

So funny. This is a talented group of performers who change their show to keep up with current events. Everyone should go unless you are a conservative snowflake whose feelings might be hurt.

We have been several times over the years. It is always a joyful, funny, pleasant way to spend part of an evening. We highly recommend it. They go out of their way to make fun of the knuckleheads on both sides of the aisle that...More

This show is amazing! The magic is awesome, the performers were all great. Very funny skits and I loved how they used the outside people walking by as part of the show. This is a must-see for anyone visiting Austin. I am definitely going back...More

This is our 3rd trip to Esthers as a couple. We went for my birthday and stayed at the Omni, which I reviewed already. We did that and got there super early to get front row. We had never managed to do that before and...More

Fourth time in 4 years and I laugh more each time I am here. It's satire and comedy at it's very best. Comedy is based on current events. Although the magic remains the same, it still mystifies me how the magic is done. The show...More

One of the funniest evening I have ever spent. Could not stop laughing. The folks made fun of everyone and everything. The songs were great and the magic was astounding. The skits move fast and the pace of the show is perfect. I know I...More

What a varied entertainment venue. Singing, dancing, magic, people watching. Up to the minute commentary. We purchased the assigned seating and it was worth it. The stage has huge windows onto 6th Street and the passer-bys become a large part of the show. This was...More

The shows on a weekend are the same. However, the script is modified every week to cover different current events. Where I see the most consistency is with the magic act. But, these are always good and always enjoyed... More

It was largely a liberal crowd and liberal-oriented humor, but far less biting than a lot of what you might see on late-night television. If you ever find this sort of humor funny I expect you will enjoy the show.
