Thinkery is an evolution of Austin Children's Museum. It's Austin's sparkling new home for "why" and "how." A place where science and families play side by side. Where people connect with ideas by doing, making and experiencing. It's a foundry for a new generation of innovators and creative problem solvers. And it's a heck of a good time.

My extended family convened here with 7 kids, ages 4 to 13, & we all had a fantastic time here. Upstairs, there was an activity on colors & seeing pictures & letters through various tints. We sat in the upstairs nook & read books. The water play was clean & hygenic, & it certainly helped to provide Crocs for the... More

I took two 7 year olds here on a hot summer day and we stayed for 4 hours! It is so well planned out and suited the interests of wee ones and the early elementary boys with me. From electrical circuitry to water features, there is a vast set of choices for young ones.

Had family visiting from out of town and they enjoyed it a lot. We spent almost all day there and they didn't want to leave to get lunch.

Great way to spend the afternoon with the family exploring the different activities. The light room was a family favorite for us. The outdoor rope climb was also a lot of fun for the children.

They have a really interactive room with water experiments. My kids love playing in the water but always end up soaked. (Not bad on a hot day) be mindful of the shoes they wear. They also enjoy the food area where you can collect all your ingredients by going to the chicken coupe or market and prepping in the kitchen.... More

This is a fantastic place to go for children from infants to 12 years old with lots of hands on activities and brain teasers to challenge them. The complex has indoor and outdoor activities, along with the usual classes and programs run by children's museums. The size of the complex really gives children a chance to explore with different areas... More

I think the Thinkery is one of the best places for kids. Good place to learn about how things work and science. It's a fun place for kids, and plenty for them to do. They will not be bored. Fun for adults as well. Plenty of parking. Try to avoid going during school trips but even then it's not that... More
