Thinkery is an evolution of Austin Children's Museum. It's Austin's sparkling new home for "why" and "how." A place where science and families play side by side. Where people connect with ideas by doing, making and experiencing. It's a foundry for a new generation of innovators and creative problem solvers. And it's a heck of a good time.

This is a fantastic place to go for children from infants to 12 years old with lots of hands on activities and brain teasers to challenge them. The complex has indoor and outdoor activities, along with the usual classes and programs run by children's museums. The size of the complex really gives children a chance to explore with different areas... More

I think the Thinkery is one of the best places for kids. Good place to learn about how things work and science. It's a fun place for kids, and plenty for them to do. They will not be bored. Fun for adults as well. Plenty of parking. Try to avoid going during school trips but even then it's not that... More

There are lots of hands on activites for 6 month olds to adults. Water activites upstairs and downstairs. The little kids gravitate to the water. Bring a change of clothes for them. Cool animation exhibit, air affecting balls, scarves and ping pong balls. Draw with wax, connect circuits, play with light, fly aircraft put together in an exhibit. Look at... More

I came here with my 2 year old son & my Mom for the special Halloween party and it was so much fun. I loved all the activities and how friendly the staff was. It was also really nice to just have the small children there so they didn't get overpowered by the older kids. If we lived in town... More

My almost 2 year old had a blast at The Thinkery. I would recommend getting there when it opens because it gets busy quickly. Great park across the street and easy parking close by.

Little kids must have been farting and wearing dirty diapers. Yucky smells throughout mixed with French fries and donuts.

We joined the thinkery as a family membership, as there are so many things to do and see here. Great interactive things for kids and adults alike. There is a great park across the street with lots to do there as well.

So many diverse, interactive and experiential, stations for the kids! The shadow room never ceases to amaze my grandson. Great private rooms for parties. The staff/volunteers are so friendly and helpful, most importantly patient!! Well worth going again and again. I will say I wish they had better control over the local scary ice cream trucks on the street in... More

My kids loved this place. We spent several hours with my 5 and 7 year old with grandma. Amazing multigenerational thing to do with little kids and grandparents! We went during the week and it was nearly empty so we had our run of the place. Plenty of places to sit down for grandma and tons to do for the... More

So many cool hands on applications of science. A lot of fun. Probably best for elementary age, but all ages can find some enjoyment. Free parking at the garage!
