Excellent city centre golf course. Friendly staff, fairways in reasonable condition, the greens are well kept with a reasonable speed. Usually a chance of a single ball golfer to pair up for a round. Walked and carried the course for both of my rounds -easy to get around. A major loss to Austin if this course has to close. Help... More

The personnel is friendly and helpful. For a municipal course is well kept, greens are slow but in good shape. Good for seniors, some challenging holes, not very long from the white tees. Prices are reasonable, one inclusive all day fee. It will be a sad day for Austin if this golf course is sold to developers but is on... More

Just challenging enough to be fun. Had a blast playing the Maudie's tournament recently and was reminded it would be a shame if they closed the course. Go play soon, good time to be had.

This golf course is tucked away in west Austin and is a favorite of my family. Great staff, snack bar and grill...amidst lovely green course. Makes you feel like you are out on remote course but are close to everything in Austin.

The City of Austin is letting this place go to the goats. Slow greens and grassless fairways. Too bad, because this could be a great tract. The university needs to renew the lease with the city and I think they would be a better job of maintenance.

It's true you'd better play this course while you can because UT will eventually develop the land the course sits on. There is some history to it. It opened in 1928 and 1950 Ben Hogan claimed the uphill #16 hole to be one of the best he's ever played. All that said, it's not a good place to play. There... More

Enjoy this course while you can--the land is owned by UT and they're talking about putting in condos or some such thing. The course is heavily treed, but relatively short.

Let's hope it survives. UT is trying to take it over and the majority of the residents and golfers say no way.
