This park is located just 12 miles from downtown Austin, Texas and is a great place to get away from the Highland Lake crowds during the summer. Boat Ramps are usually open as this is a constant level lake, portable bathrooms available and plenty of parking. Some shade available in park but could use more.

It had rained the day before and was so muddy people were getting stuck and abandoning their shoes in the mud to run on in their socks...it was AWESOME! I ran the run with a friend and we had our white t-shirts ready to go and ran in the mud, dodged people, bushes, mud, more mud, and ran into the... More
