Nice small botanical garden. Some native plants, a cactus garden, some historical exhibits, a prehistoric garden with sagos and other ancient plants, and a lovely small Japanese garden. Pleasant walk.

There is usually some kind of special exhibit going on. The Japanese garden is a really unexpected beautiful surprise. You are likely to see a bride here getting portraits done.

A nice botanical garden -- as one review I saw said, "beautiful, peaceful, affordable." The grounds need a little attention here & there, but certainly a nice place to stroll. We thought we had heard that there was a view of the river from the...More

This was someone's estate previously, and when it went public, they apparently have not put much money into it. It's about an hour's walk-around, no more. It's kind of a waste of time IMO, almost completely uninteresting.

The botanical garden grounds were beautiful! It was fun to see the Fairy Garden's that people had made, it was nice to see that they brought a smile to everyone we passed. Well maintained and easy to walk. Parking was plentiful.

The botanical garden is beautiful, with spots where you can sit down and just enjoy the beauty of nature. Waterfalls, ponds and streams were refreshing in the heat of the summer day. We visited when they had the Fairy Trail exhibit, it was really fun.

While there are no picnic tables, I doubt that anyone on staff will tell you to get out if they see you eating. Definitely no fires.

I wish there were but at this time there is no cafe or restaurant. There are many restaurants down the street toward Lamar Boulevard.
