Go in for a drink if you don't stay here. Gorgeous, luxurious hotel. Copper hand-hammered ceilings; real cowhide furniture coverings. The best thing off 6th.

The Driskill is a beautiful old hotel that has the feel of historied elegance. The lobby is a huge open area where guests can relax eating breakfast or people watching. There was music every evening at the bar; and there were numerous tables in the...More

The Driskill bar is a great place to get started on your evening in Austin if you are from out of town. A great place to have a drink and to chill before hitting the town. Especially if you are on that side of Sixth...More

Perfect location on 6th street. Rooms are on the small side but have been recently updated and are beautiful. Fun large happening bar with decent bar food. Learn about the history as well as the ghosts that haunt it while you are here.

Beautiful Historical Building. You can feel the history walking through it. If you are anywhere nearby, not only is the exterior pretty amazing, the lobby area is worth a walk through. Beautiful!

If you are a Texas history buff like me, you will love this 1885 luxury hotel in downtown Austin. Staff are trained in the hotel's past and have hundreds of ghost stories and tales of its cattle rancher founder, Sam Driskill. The present owners have...More

What a beautiful hotel! We enjoyed a fabulous Saturday bruch and I can say the pecan waffle is amazing, shaped like the state of Texas and smothered in delicious ripe berries, it did not need any butter, nor syrup. One of the best bloody marys...More

We popped in just to take a peek at the famous hotel. We wandered through the lobby, enjoying the history and detail of the architecture. We were pleasantly surprised were we're allowed to walk through. The staff must be used to visitors like us. We...More
