Austin would not be Austin w/o South Congress Avenue. With all the changes in Austin, so far, this stretch of shops and eateries remains the same. There are many vintage shops along South Congress, including Uncommon Objects which is a big Antique Mall with great...More

This is a fun shopping and restaurant area. I love the shops with the unusual and harder to find artsy items. So many great restaurants in the area. It's very crowded sometimes so parking can be a bear but overall this is a great area...More

We always have to make a swing through so many eclectic shops and fun stops. Great food, shopping and people watching. We always end up at Chuy's just down the road.

I consider it POOR planning when you try to revitalize an area of town, get all those cool businesses to come and invent, and then provide NO PARKING!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It might be the coolest part of Austin, but WHO KNOWS! Only 30 people can visit at...More

Thoroughly enjoyed walking along SoCo and shopping in both expensive and inexpensive shops. Some thrift shops, some really nice boutiques. Cheap eats as well and fancy. Good destination.

Walking distance around 2 miles roughly. Not many buses better off getting a cab, or walk

Parking is very hard to find. You may have to park down the street and walk. If you are staying downtown, take a cab (I believe Uber is being discontinued in Austin). Getting there early in the day is better for parking... More
