We really enjoyed South Congress. It was nice for the adults and kids. SOCO has Food trucks, great restaurants (Guero's Taco Bar), and live music. Fun!

A trendy area with shops & restaurants. A nice area to stroll up and down -- if it's not too hot outside! I like old/retro signs & there were a number of them there -- if you like signs, be sure to check out my...More

I loved S Congress Ave. So many food trucks, murals and people! We rented bicycles and rode up and down this street many times. It's great to have so many choices of food and drink so close together.

We spent a few hours in SoCo during our visit. Did some shopping. Had some food. A great way to spend an afternoon. Very hipster area that is worth a visit.

This is a hipster kind of area with a ton of shops and restaurants to choose from. Not all the people in the shops are friendly, but I guess that just means Austin has become a big city!

Parking is very hard to find. You may have to park down the street and walk. If you are staying downtown, take a cab (I believe Uber is being discontinued in Austin). Getting there early in the day is better for parking... More
