As an alum and a witness to the tower shooting the place brings back memories. The ride up is still a thrill and standing on the deck where CHarles Witman stood is creepy. I used to go into the library part of the building, loved...More

Interesting way to spend an hour. The views are great. I think it's a cop-out that they won't at least acknowledge the shootings

It's been a few years but the building is so traditional and historical. You can't miss this stop if you like history.

i would recommend seeing it from the ground, if you go up they won't let you leave for 50 minutes. The view is nice but you have seen all you can see after about 10 minutes.

Located in the center of the University of Texas campus, the 27-story TOWER is the site of the 1966 massacre where seventeen people died when shot with a sniper rifle by a disgruntled student. This year is the 50th anniversary.

Really enjoyed visiting the campus again as my son and daughter are both UT graduates. The Tower is iconic with the university. My granddaughter really enjoyed sitting by the fountain and reading her book! Nice and relaxing

The University of Texas Tower is a well known site on the UT campus both as a landmark and because of the history associated with it. Worth the visit if you are on campus.
