There are a ton of murals to find on this strip. Plus lots of options for dining and shopping. Felt like a safe place too.

Quiet and safe tree lined walk. It seems a world away from 6th Street activity. Not much car traffic or people on a week day. Very enjoyable.

Walking on Congress Ave is not only fun but relaxing, all the little shops and the people; stopping for coffee to relax or you can have dinner and drinks with live music

My girlfriend and I decided one night to walk Congress street for live music. We ended up going to the Continental Club that had some of the BEST live music I have heard in Texas. We had a great time!

An enormous selection of food, nightlife, and shopping. Really cool small shops! Western wear. Art. Jewelry. You can get whatever you want to eat on Congress Avenue! Great local bands playing day and night!

We wanted to visit the state capital, which is at the north end of Congress Ave., and we were told that we should go there by walking up Congress Ave. from the river, so we did that. There are lots of things to see along...More
