The Moody Theater is a great place to see music. There really isn't a bad seat in the house. There are also plenty of restaurants within a block or two to have a bite to eat and a cocktail.

The conference I attended at the Convention Center had an evening event with an 80's cover band called Suede. There were three bars, several balconies and areas to dance and hang out. Definitely a great night overall.

No, most events do not allow patrons to move around. However, once the event has started no one may notice. I have had seats on the main floor and ventured up to the very top balcony to view from afar and no one stopped me... More
what time should I line up to get into the venue and have a good spot for the floor or is there an extra price to get in before the general public? I'm going to see Blondie and I want to be up close

I would email the venue. When I was there we had seats on the 2nd floor. They have great customer service and will be able to give you a good answer.
