The Crenshaw course is a nice layout, with tough greens at the best of times. At the moment though the greens are, as I think Feherty once commented about another course, "like putting on broccoli". The greens recently have been very fast, which is fine,...More

I will start by saying that I am a "+" handicap and have played all over the world, guessing well over 500 different courses. This course had the worst designed greens I have ever played. Over 40% of the green I don't think you could...More

First, lot of construction and renovation going on. No parking. Trailer for checkin. Second, the condition of the fairways and greens are very good. Can't say the same for the rough. Lot of hard pack. Redoing some greens, etc. and it is annoying to pay...More

So the back story is Crenshaw was a great putter and thus his course was designed for big greens with difficult putts. The backstory does match the experience, except that we were dissapointed with the greens as most had little interest with primarily a one...More

I played the Crenshaw course in April and it was in great shape. The staff was friendly and the greens were FAST! Great place to play and I will definitely be back.

Tee boxes, fairways and greens are all in good shape. To score you have to know where to land the ball on the greens. Very tricky putting if you play for the first time. Check out the deer and wild turkeys.

Barton Creek Lakeside in Spicewood, TX, has a beautiful course layout on Lake Travis but Omni does not adequately maintain the course and the club house facilities. The sand traps need work and the tee boxes are uneven. No marshall on course to speed play....More

The golf gentlemen handling the clubs lost my putter cover and I found it in the storage. They are not careful at all. We played with a company and only saw the drink carts once. Bad service.

This is a beautiful course in primo condition. Don't get fooled into thinking it is easy since the distances are short and GIR is not all that difficult. Getting it in the cup is a different story. These are some of the fastest and most...More
