Clearly part of the overall entertainment scene but more likely to appeal to the younger set and especially thise not discouraged by raucous drinking crowds

Another attraction free of charge and visually stimulating. Walk down 6 street and have a look. Lots of keep you entertained from shops to places where you can get a drink , a snack or a delicious ice cream. A really arty vibe

Decent bars but definitely for the younger college/ party crowd (we were also where they call it Dirty 6, so we should've known better lol). Heard good things about the other end of 6th street.

If you want to get rowdy and be around lots of college-aged people, good place. West 6th is much nicer and less dirty/wild but still fun.

Wait until after 11am, and you shouldn't have a problem finding whatever you want open.

We stayed at the Westin Austin and it was very nice. We walked everywhere from the hotel
