The Blanton just opened the new Ellsworth Kelly signature piece, "Austin", a walk-in chapel-like structure featuring glass windows in the primary colors. Truly amazing. The Blanton's standing collection is alone worth a visit.More

The Blanton is a smaller museum but well laid out and filled with wondeful works. The is an exhibit of Ellsworth Kelly is place right now. Admission is free with an Univ Texas ID and free for everyone on Thursday. It's a wonderful place.

Small but beautifully laid out museum. Their Ellsworth Kelly exhibit was super informative and orients you before you go into the building itself. Staff are friendly. Nice collection of contemporary art. Had a very enjoyable afternoon visiting here.

This is a lovely small art museum, with changing exhibits on the first floor and its permanent collection on the second floor. If you are a member of your home town museum, see if you may have reciprocal admission benefits here.
