My fifth grade son had afield trip here so I thought I would come along.I truly wish I hadn't. First of all there were about ten parking spots, all of which were occupied. I had to park about a mile away and walk to join...More

Thank you for your feedback, Matthew. Our consistently positive reviews and high ratings of the Austin Nature & Science Center suggest that your experience is not typical. Your son's school scheduled their visit and school program during the nearby annual Austin City Limits Festival in...More

I am only giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because of the very limited parking and not the easiest to find for non-locals. You have to ignore the no-through traffic sign to get to the limited parking. Once there, totally worth it! Lots of...More

Our grandsons count this as a must-do when they visit Austin. Digging up dinosaur bones never loses its attraction, and checking in on the animals ("they're so CLOSE") is another ritual. Even the bees get checked out. Parents or grands would be well advised to...More

Nice little nature center. Great for kids with lots of interactive areas...more than most centers I've visited. The parking area under the overbpass is the best place to park if you plan to walk the Lady Bird Trail. Drop a few coins after using the...More

Don't miss the live animals including the birds of prey. The interior is sparse but the exterior exhibits are really cool. Young kids will love the chance to dig for dinosaur bones. This is a great free attraction available right in Zilker Park.

We are two adults with no kids and we spent nearly 2 hours. Lots of activities aimed at kids that we didn’t do.
