Barton Springs is truly a rare and unique place for a large variety of scenery is absolutely beautiful, as it is set in a beautiful green and tree-filled area. The spring itself is damned off from the rest of the creek, and is freezing cold, even in the summer. Their are plenty of grassy and concrete covered places to walk... More

It was amazing, freezing, but amazing. Definitely need to be careful though when it comes to the uneven ground. I hit my knees etc. At least a dozen times, but if you watch out and wear swim shoes you'll definitely have a fun time.

Room for young kids to run round. Train ride. Play ground. And spring pool! My kids have so much fun here every summer.

The water is very refreshing in the heat, but take note of rocks and concrete edging that is very, very slippery!

This is the closest you can get to swimming in a spring in Austin... The water is cold in 100° weather and is so refreshing when you jump in... it is lively and I love the atmosphere... Cheap spending for the family and we all love it!

Come here to get polarized, shift your perspective towards the positive. This place is an absolute gem. Come here anytime, the water stays about the same temperature. Clear, clean, friendly, Austin local favorite.
