This pool is cool, literally the water is cold. Definetly worth a visit at least once, natural spring water, a bit slippery and a space for all ages. Plenty of green space to layout and people watch also.
So, for those of us who don’t want the largest organ of our body absorbing chlorine, this place is great. It is freezing cold when you first get in; even in the heat of the summer. Gradually becomes somewhat refreshing. I personally recommend skipping the...More
If you vist Austin you must vist! Parking is horrible, and is a very good reason not to vist, but the crystal clear COLD springs will relax you and make you forget about the parking. Great for the family, pack a snack and c
Local swimming place. Fed by natural springs. Water is cool. Sunbath in the Austin heat and when you jump in, you will be cooled off. Bring snorkel and check out the springs natural bottom environment.
A great afternoon was spent at this natural springs pool. A few tips to make your day better...bring water shoes if you have them. The rocks are slippery. Also, the have lockers but no locks so bring your own.
It was a great experience to visit this gorgeous, huge pool! I have nothing like it at home. Admission is reasonably priced, and the place is large enough to not feel crowded. Expect lines to get tickets and get in (this could be managed better)....More
We happened upon this by making a wrong turn on the Lady Bird trail and it was a really cool thing to see. One part is a natural pool that has been dammed in, and it runs off into a shallow stream area where there...More
Gorgeous spring water stream turned into a natural pool. Gorgeous grounds surrounded by grass and trees, with emerald green waters. Perfect to cool off during a very hot day or to just relax by the water with your friends.

NO food. NO alcohol. NO smoking. ONLY water. Take RIDESHARE. Parking is very limited. Respect the staff they are there to save your life. People drown at this pool. RESPECT THE STAFF. The reason for no food or sugary drinks is because of a battle with fire ants which the pool may be losing because so many people sneak food/drinks in. With the explosion of tourists and new residents the pool is struggling. Locals really hate folks who don’t adhere to these rules. There is always trash left over and that is heartbreaking to see a crushed can or spilled candy covered in ants. Residents love this pool and fiercly protect it. There are rats that like those salty pretzels and that brings snakes. And, get stung by fire ants and you or your babies day is ruined. It’s a life cycle. Get a stamp and have a picnic outside the gates. You can go in and out all day so why break the rules and risk getting thrown out? Buy a JIM JIM’S snow cone and there are food trucks to get pizza or empanadas just outside the gates. Lots of restaurantswithin walking distance.
