While the Amarillo Zoo is smaller than many zoo's you may have visited in the larger cities, it is none-the-less a nice place for kids and parent to visit. I have been there 2-3 times with my granddaughters and they enjoy it every time.

The zoo wasn't on my original list to do, but it was a Sunday and everything else in Amarillo was closed for the day. For a senior rate of just $3, it was an easy choice. The male lion gave a chorus of roars as...More

It has been a few years since we've been to the Amarillo Zoo. The animals are well cared for, and the areas added for educating youngsters of all ages is impressive.

The Amarillo Zoo is very small, but always a fun experience for our Grandchildren. Nice walking paths, play areas, and a good variety of animals. The staff are always friendly and keep the zoo clean and safe. Their holiday events are always our favorite.

It is a very nice, well maintained zoo. It is not huge so a person can take their time to see all the animals. It is very well maintained and a nice experience.

For a small do it was great. Worth the money! We went on a Friday afternoon and it was not busy at all.

It was rather cool for a September afternoon so some of the animals weren't out. Still, it was a very enjoyable day.

Love this zoo! It is our own small city zoo but where else can you really get up close to Lions, Tigers and Bears, no pun intended. It does need some more work but they are working their hard to get it that way.
