Comprised of the Amarillo Civic Center and the Globe-News Center for the Performing Arts, the Amarillo Civic Center Complex is the primary meeting place for over 300,000 residents living in the Texas Panhandle. Conveniently located in downtown Amarillo, Texas, easy access to Interstates 27 and 40 (Historic Route 66) and over 2000 committable hotel rooms within 10 minutes make it an excellent choice for conventions, meetings, concerts, and special events. The Globe-News Center for the Performing Arts houses a 1300 seat auditorium, rehearsal/education room, spacious multi-level lobby, and numerous dressing rooms. It is designed with acoustical excellence in mind and serves as a landmark in downtown Amarillo. It is equipped with a one-of-a-kind orchestra shell that retracts into an upstage garage area to reveal a fully equipped road house. Featuring a sprung dance floor, hydraulic orchestra pit, and complete fly system, the Globe-News Center is equipped to host the smallest meeting to the largest road show.

I highly recommend going to any performance at this theater it is beyond spectacular! The actors and actresses are well trained and they are sure to entertain all ages.

As long time season ticket holders of The Amarillo Symphony, the hall fails to take the breath away. How fortunate Amarillo and the surrounding ares is to have this world class facility. It puts the U in unique.
