Wildcat Butte is located on the northwest side of Amarillo on the beltway that loops around the city. The center charges a small fee (adults $4) for admission and has free parking. There are three short hikes across the prairie to an overlook, passing by...More

Pretty interesting all the different kinds of wildlife out there. Always be on watch for rattlesnakes.

Nice little hike for some exercise. I don't see why people say it's messy. It was really clean even for being on a highway. It has a working windmill and stock tank if you want to see how ranches made it here in the past...More

Thoroughly enjoyed the hiking trails. Starting out as scrub brush transitioning to rolling prairie and the bluffs. Good to see a working windmill. There were some school groups getting nice informative tours. The trails can be tailored for children of different ages and abilities. It's...More

There is literally nothing here. It's a waste of time. You can see better nature, and plants in Palo Duro Canyon, or anywhere in the country. On my visit the employee were arguing with one another. Super unprofessional and not with your time.More

If your in Amarillo and looking for a little different activity, stop by Wildcat Bluff. Easy to get to and beats the mall and crowds. Enjoy short walks and animal interactions that you normally would never see.
