If you're an aviation buff, you'll enjoy seeing the Cavanaugh's collection of aircraft and more. Most of them are still in flying condition and you can, if desired, get a ride in one. The museum is located north of Dallas, in Addison (by the way,...More

Our four young grandsons, who, to put it mildly, are extreme aviation enthusiasts and have visited Cavanaugh with their parents several times, have raved about Cavanaugh. So we were excited to take the four of them to Cavanaugh and experience it ourselves. They were so...More

I happened to be the only one at the museum the day I went so I don't thing crowds are a problem. They had a good mixture of war planes from different eras. Make sure that you check out the gallery of art work on...More

I really enjoyed my short visit to Cavanaugh Flight Museum. My favorite hangar was the first one with the huge bomber. Also in that hangar, the exhibits have good descriptive signage and momentos. My visit was on a Saturday afternoon. The museum guide I spoke...More

The museum consists of four hangars and some aircraft parked outdoors. There is an art gallery in the first hangar. The collection of World War I replicas in the first hangar alone is worth the price of admission. The original aircraft have virtually ceased to...More

I visited this museum to appease my husband really. However, on entering we were offered a tour from a volunteer veteran, and am so glad we tagged along. He was funny, knowledgable, and full of titbits of information about not only the planes, but the...More

Super collection of aircraft, both airworthy and static. A good variety from WW1 up to Gulf War. It's well worth a look if your into aviation. Could do with a small cafeteria or something would be my only criticism.
