So glad that you enjoyed the Oliver Jeffers exhibition. Our next exhibition opens in October with Caldecott Award winning Sophie Blackall.

I went with my daughter and grandson to the annual Calf Festival.Even though it was extremely hot we had a wonderful time.Would visit again during this time.

Tried to visit and found they were closed until June 7th. Also, they are closed on Saturdays and Sundays. There's plenty of temporary (2 hour) parking along the street and in the small adjacent lot. Several statues sit along the street for photo-ops. The area...More

This was worth the stop on our way to Austin from Lubbock (but then again, I love books!). It's a small museum but very tasteful. The docent was knowledgable and approachable and filled us in on the history of how this museum came to be....More

The art classes and activities they have for kids are amazing. They learned so much in a short period of time offering a variety of projects they could choose to complete. Great staff with awesome stories!

The exhibit was terrific. So many original art works from books we enjoy. You can see the hard work the illustrators put into each piece. We also attended the free Saturday art class. The day's subject, block prints. The staff was friendly and knowledgable. Excellent...More

If you like children's literature (and who doesn't?), you will love taking the time to visit this gem. It has rotating art shows, so who knows what you will get to enjoy when you get there!

Thank you so much for coming! Our next exhibition is a 50 year retrospective of of the Coretta Scott King illustrator award. The show will be on display Feb. 8- May 22, 2018.

This is THE National Center for Children's Illustrated Literature! Seriously! NATIONAL!!! The most famous illustrators have their work displayed here and open their own exhibit then their work travels around the country! This is a DO NOT MISS spot!
