A very beautiful park in a very nice location south west of Aiken South Carolina. Fishing, picnics, basketball, baseball are just a few of the things that you can do at this park. I plan on going back to spend some time there to try a little fishing and look forward to utilizing this very pretty park in Aiken County.

Had an awesome time at this course. Beautiful and well taken care of. Different elevations showing up and from drops. A true gem. The first 4 holes seem to hide people's disc a little more then the others. But once you get out of there it opens up a bit more. I will be back. They had a lake for fishing and mountain bike trails. Next time i will try the bike trails.

The mountain bike loop is just under 5 miles, but very well thought out. It includes a nice combination of climbs and descents, a few technical challenges and some straights long enough to get up some decent speed.
Once you've done a few laps and need to catch your breath, the park also boasts a lake - big enough for canoes, several ball fields, and even a tiny planetarium.

This tucked away forgotton little park is just that! Has a walking trail completely around it, and offers places to fish ( although I haven't caught anything yet ) If you are looking for a UNDER Utilized park, this is it! And only miles out of downtown Aiken... WOW!

It has a variety of shelter areas for rent. One area had about 20 tables. Some had smaller quantity of tables and even solo tables for a small family or couple. There's a fullsize basketball court that's great for a basketball game, there's a nice volley ball court, and a very small playground. Lots of walking trails, dog friendly with a leash, off in the cut, nice picnic area for small and large size. Has grills available for use. The fishing pond was full of weeds so not good for fishing. They have a boat launch. If your coming here for anything other then fishing, I recommend. But not much amenties for younger children...

I just left boyd pond park after playing a round. The park is very nice and the 18 hole disc golf course is set up well. The holes are short but the baskets are set in challenging locations. It was clean with benches at every tee pad. I will definitely play here again. Nice atmosphere

They even have a geocaching trail. Boyd Pond observatory is here as well. We enjoyed our day, the trails are somewhat rustic a points so be aware.

Rather out in the boonies, this park has a large pond, soccer field and picnic areas. Well maintained, uncrowded on the Saturday we went, and an excellent place for a walk in the woods and picnic.

Boyd Pond Park is very nice. It abounds with wildlife (woodpeckers, butterflies, herons, etc.). I appreciate the blacktop walk, but even the other more rugged trails aren't bad. My dog really loves all the different smells!

I don't see signs stating otherwise and I have seen dogs in park so I would say Yes....

Can you swim in the pond? Are the trails ok for bikes with street tires or do you need mountain bike tires?
Written 1 August 2016
I have never seen anyone swimming in the pond and do not believe that it is allowed. I do not recall seeing any type of beach or access points to get into the pond. Personally I would not want to swim in the pond anyway----snakes.
One could probably take a relatively short bike ride around the lower path that goes around the lake with regular bike tires. However the upper bike trails (which are quite hilly and very curvy) would require mountain bike tires.
