I love Hopelands gardens and walk there every chance I get. I can imagine what it was like in it's hey day, beautiful large trees, lush landscaping and lovely setting. Could be used for an outdoor wedding with pictures by the pond or in the gazebo. A lovely serene place to dream.

Went to view the Christmas lights. Event is free, so we spent the day shopping in Aiken. When we went to go to the gardens to get an early jump on the lights, we found out that they were not doing them that night. Call before you come, if you're driving a ways off. The gardens however, are well kept.... More

Hitchcock Woods is a wonder, besides being one of the largest Urban Forests in the USA. Peaceful, full of life and wildlife, equestrian friendly and a true nature walk. They have recently reintroduced several pairs of the Red Cockaded Woodpeckers that has been gone for years and they are making their home in the newly installed cavity boxes inserted into... More

I went to see the Christmas lights at Hopelands Gardens. They were truly magical. Big kids and little kids were caught up in the excitement. Unfortunately I brought my grandchildren to visit the Dollhouse. What a disappointment. The house was supposed to be decorated by local garden clubs. I have never seen a garden club decorate with artificial poinsettias and... More

We attended a wedding and reception at Hopelands. The gardens and outdoor areas were very well manicured and clean. The reception hall decor was beautifully done and the entire public area as well as the kitchen area was very clean. Very enjoyable experience.

Hopeland. Gardens is a fun place to visit anytime of the year. Walk in on a long path with the beautiful trees surrounding you. Paths are easy to follow, rest in a gazebo, take bread to feed the ducks. Take pictures of the large trees.

Since moving to Aiken 11 years ago I have found Hopelands Gardens to be a MUST SEE . It is an incredible plot of land dedicated to the historical Aiken area. incredible trees and properties preserved for Aiken. Racehorse Hall of Fame on the Property. If you are visiting Aiken, you must see Hopelands Gardens!
