A must see! A big thank you to those who listened about the request to bring back the "views of old". Taking down the trees so you could see from both sides of the curve is breathtaking and awe inspiring. We will visit a lot more, now.

I'll admit I wasn't sure what to expect with this visit. The drive to the Horseshoe Curve through the mountains was beautiful even on a rainy day. Once there the view from the parking lot was so unique it's hard to explain. The short trip up the incline car was fun and all part of the experience. Up track side... More

This is heaven for all railfans, especially any who followed Pennsylvania and Conrail. As soon as I got there two trains were traversing the curve. A funicular takes you up to the viewing platform. It was raining but there was a bit of a roof over the platform. Could have used another bench or two. They cut down the trees... More

I revisited Horseshoe Curve on April 7, 2016 to find improvements going on...A major tree cutting project was underway with much of the West side of the Curve cut and trimmed of brush and trees and the East side of the Curve was to be cut during the 2nd half of April. This will greatly improve the view of trains... More

Nice friendly and helpful staff. Ongoing tree clearing has restored the amazing views of trains climbing into the mountains. The composting toilets are best for real emergencies only.

Hubby has been telling me for a long time now that we have to go to Horseshoe Curve next time we are in Pa. So on our latest visit, we went. The museum was very interesting, and we were very excited to go up the incline in order to get a better view of the curve and the trains. Much... More

The view at Horseshoe curve has improved now that they removed a lot of the trees. The wait for trains isn't very long. We were there for an hour and saw at least 10 trains. A must see.

Work crew have done a fantastic job clearing vegetation and trees around the curve to see trains going all the way around now. Yay! It's been so long in coming. It's still clean and the staff is so friendly. We can't wait to return again.

Very much enjoyed our trip to the horseshoe curve... took the funicular up to the top and unfortunately there wasn't a train come through till we went back down :-( but isn't that the way it usually works LOL... it didn't matter - we still enjoyed it immensely. Nice exhibits
