I was at the part with basketball courts, a playground, and a lake. The scenery here is beautiful and the equipment was is functional. The lake is a great place to walk, especially the waterfall area. The only concern was the bathrooms by the playground and basketball court were locked in May.

Great place for a walk or a jog, located right near the Rose Garden. The trail was recently updated paving the walking trail and adding fitness stations to stop and do an activity. Very beautiful place, it has bathrooms, 2 pavilions for family outings, and very open and safe. Cedar Crest college is right up the hill from it all.
There is a swimming pool, a kids playground area, basketball courts, volley ball courts, and a small lake ( Muhlenberg Lake ). All nestled near Muhlenberg college, J. Birney Crum stadium, and Cedar Crest College.
My friends recently visited from Agusta, GA and were amazed that we had such a beautiful park. They took many pictures.
Highly recommend.

We were in the area and decided to kill a few hours one evening and came across this park. This park was not only really pretty but also had a lot going on! There are walking trails, along a pretty creek with weeping willow trees, basketball courts, and a HUGE playground!

If just enjoying the amenities of the park is not enough, then be fortunate enough to visit the park when an international touring group is performing . Was told by one of the bus drivers that theirs was a 64 days tour with competitors from all over the world and the United States. Although one could choose any activity in the park, on the 3rd, 4th and 5th of August, watching the touring groups perform took center stage. I understand from a resident of Allentown, that there is always something interesting going on at that park.

Allentown takes pride in its magnificent park system, and Cedar Beach Park is one of its best-loved and most visited. It's a peaceful place for a stroll or a serious walk. Or perhaps a picnic. There's a small lake with a variety of waterfowl (don't even think about feeding them -- there's a hefty fine). The public swimming pool, the city's most popular, is great, but it's been closed the past two seasons for extensive repair. It's to reopen in 2017. There are basketball and volleyball courts. The centerpiece is an incredible children's playground with unusual equipment, including some games with electronic gizmos, halfway between a playground and a video game. Walk across Ott Street from the park and you'll find another stellar Allentown attraction, the magnificent Rose Garden. Also a sizable picnic grove with sheltered pavilion. And open fields for frisbee-throwing, kite-flying, or sunbathing. Great way to spend a summer's day. And all without spending a cent (unless you want to swim in the pool when it finally reopens.)

Excellent resort with lots of activities for kids and parents. We stayed for five days and our grandkids had a lot of fun.

I've been to this park several times for several different reasons... for just taking a leisurely walk, to picnicing at the covered pavillions, and many other great events including MayFair in past years, the Cherry Blossom Festival, concerts, band competitions, plus there is a giant pool for summer activities.

I was at cedar beach park when it just opened. That was like four years ago. They still have most of the same equipment but the equipment is still great. It is like it is brand new. Right across the street from the park there is the rose garden. The rose garden is also amazing. If you haven’t went there yet you should really go there.

I lived near the park years ago & have continued to visit when I'm in the area because it's such a peaceful spot. LOVE the rose garden! It's a big yard for the west end

Sorry, I've never been to the pool but I did Google Allentown City Pools and found a website for that... Looks like they're open 12-7 pm every day.

Does this park have wheelchair accessibility, which means flat, possibly paved paths, and bathrooms with door buttons and enough space to safely navigate inside? Thanks.
Written 22 August 2017
As for the bathrooms, I'm not sure if they are accessible with a chair (?). However as for commandeering the Park, it IS wheelchair and stroller friendly !!!
