This is without a doubt one of the best parks I've been to. This park is large so allow pleanty of time. There is a small lake with ducks and geese and a waterfall Much of the walking trail is small open fields with deep woods in the background. In some places the woods are close to the trail. The cabin belonging to Mr. Trexlar still exists6 This is a great way to see the forest without entering the woods.

My friends and I have been going to this park for over 50 years. As the official uses have changed, this park has remained a cornerstone for community exercise and being with nature. There are benches for sitting, trees to climb and paths to walk. If you are lucky, you will come across the man who lets birds feed directly out of his hand.

This is one of the most beautiful parks I have ever seen! Hubby and I walk here as often as possible, and it’s also the place we always bring our guests from out of town.

Walking and biking trails, history and nature in the middle of the city! Wonderful opportunity to exercise in nature after/before meetings. Reading about how the park and other facilities in and around Allentown are benefited by the benefactor is inspiring.

1.2-mile main trail and more trails adding up to about 3 miles total. Duck pond and paved paths. Good for dogs ( on leashes) and bicyclists as well as walkers. Pleasantly surprised. Very well maintained.

Bring the kiddles, your pets, your significant other. This is a great place to run, walk, or bike. Watch out for bikers, they mostly are courtesy but still a great place to exercise. Parts are in the direct sun, others are in the shade.

Need a bit of serenity? Just a place to stroll and clear your mind? In Allentown, this is it! Easy access, easy parking and on the way to/from so many spots - you can squeeze in a walk between errands.

The nicest park in the Allentown area. Well maintained walking trails and very clean. It's a pleasure to visit this park with all the beauty and really nice people.

Are dogs allowed? (On a leash of course)
Written 2 March 2017
Yes. Always dogs there! Nice safe place to walk them. My dogs love it there. There is a big loop that goes around the park. I think there is one section at the top that joins with an upper loop that is marked no dogs. The rest of the park is fine.
