You don't need to head to England to experience the genius of a Shakespearean play. Much closer to home is the Oregon Shakespeare Festival located in Ashland, Oregon. Every year at the end of October you can enjoy on average over ten of Shakespeare's plays performed in both classic and newly imagined style. Separate tickets are needed for each show which is held at one of the event campus's two indoor or one outdoor spaces.

Took my wife & daughter to see Head Over Heals - I knew we were in for it when the rainbow flag went up ceremonially right off the bat. Loved the acting, music, sets, costumes, acting - all was wonderful, but didn't see the point...More

We have been avid theatre goers for many years in Los Angeles, New York and London. OSF has produced some of the most creative and enjoyable theatre we have ever seen. It is no wonder that this company consistently wins Tony Awards--the only theatre company...More

Great theater in a town with great restaurants. Three different theaters going all the time (eight months of the year). One of, if not the very best, theater festival in the nation. Now in its 80th year.

If you have the opportunity to see this world premier play, DO. It's hilarious and the characters are great. Remember how Mama Mia is a musical to Abba music? This is a musical to the music of the GoGo's. So wish my friend could've stayed...More

We just saw two plays here. Much Ado About Nothing was stupendous The acting and staging made the pay come alive. Antony and Cleopatra was mediocre. The modernization did nothing to improve the script. The acting was overall pretty good but marred by inappropriate costuming...More

Went to see "The Count of Monte Cristo" the other evening and having re-familiarized myself with Dumas' classic story I was unpleasantly surprised by the rendition that I watched. This version is an adaptation of an 1870 version of a play written in the theatrical...More

Enjoy Oregon's first-class performance festival, and attend one of it's many shows that are seen on it's stages. Check out the festival's website for the season's current schedule, and ticket availability. Whether it is a traditional or contemporary play, all shows are exceptional. The actors...More
