Museum was good and fort was great. Caught a ranger demo to a group of students and he was awesome. Also it's free.

If you like history, this is worth a stop and FREE!!!! What a nice surprise to find this Civil War History spot. The fort has interactive educational stations. Pack a lunch, walk the trails, go to the beach. It is all here.

This is a fun educational walk for families or friends. The environment is pleasant and on some days, would be a welcomed escape from the beach. Bring your camera, there are some interesting photos opps especially as the sun softens in late afternoon.

To my knowledge there is no place to dock a boat to go and visit the fort. The Coast Guard base is on one side and open beach on the other with no dock.
