...If your schedule is flexible, because they don't let the giraffes out sometimes for 2-3 days later, rather than risk having them slip on the ground & break a leg. Check on their website for exhibit closures, which are frequent, so you won't be disappointed to miss the animals you really wanted to see.

Great to visit in the Fall and Spring - perfect temperatures. Just sit in the aviary early in the morning and let the birds come to you. Easy to drive w/o hassles of large city zoos. When you enter during the morning, take the tram to to far end of the zoo to avoid the crowds (Africa parking is closed... More

This is a Zoo that delights! It has two large areas. One focuses on North America and one focuses on Africa. You can spend a day and visit both areas but I recommend seeing one per visit. There is so much to see and do and this approach gives you the time you need for each area. The animals live in... More

This is a large zoo, with two major areas: North America and Africa. The design is similar to the San Diego zoo, in that you walk thru the exhibits on a one way route to see everything. Older zoos, like St. Louis, or Chicago, arrange exhibits along either side of major paths, so it is easy to skip (or ignore)... More

Wonderful zoo with lots of activities for kids.... The zoo can be seen in a day but with three kids it's really a two day event to experience it all. Definitely worth the long trip here !

This is a fun trip for the whole family. The zoo is set up in two different sections of animals. One is the North American and the other is African animals. In the middle is a junction with food and a carousel.

Lots of walking outside most of the time. Some of the animals were sleep or didn't want to be bothered. Really enjoyed seeing the snakes and spiders. We definitely go back. The weather was perfect for this event.
