One of the things I like about this zoo is that none of the animals are in cages, though there are a few that are in enclosures, but the zoo does it's best to create habitats that the animals can freely roam around in. Most...More

This zoo has a ton of room, so be ready to walk. Has free parking, the road runners are my favorite. I usually eat at cookout after the zoo.

We took the family here, small children and strollers. the favorite was the polar bear who swam, and did laps against the viewing wall putting on a show! It's bigger and more to see than expected.

No penguins but the area which has the polar bear has several viewing vantage points and the bear seems to be animated by the crowds; very nicely done habitat suggestive of where you would expect to see polar bears. No... More

I did not check out the situation for wheelchair assessability, but I do know that there are free trams, buses and shuttles around the zoo, and to the parking lots. There is a hop on site near each entrance, and one more... More
