This is a small wooded park, quiet and pleasant. Picturesque views across the lake, a few picnic tables. If you're traveling, this would be a good spot to stop and stretch your legs and let the kiddies run around. Just seconds off of Hendersonville Road.
Great place to test a kayak. It does require you to purchase a launch permit, but very quiet and peaceful, and usually not many people there. Looking forward to spending more time on it in the winter time when the water is warm.
Lake Julian Lake is huge though not necessarily very picturesque. However there are no walking trails. It is primarily a park for the boating marina and picnics. That is a shame because it would be nice to walk around the lake.
