More than visiting the windmills, you would enjoy the magnificent view over the high lands where they are located. It is a bit difficult to walk up there (about 45 minutes walking from the Castle) and the grounds are steep (for at least 25 minutes) but you would enjoy the view definitely. You can also have a delicious tea beside... More

all in a bad state of repair. Views from here are amazing once you get past broken glass, condoms and other litter.

The windmills on the hill were interesting to visit, though most are in very poor condition. The views over Gumbet and the main bay of Bodrum are stunning. I think it interesting to see remnants of days gone by and how people lived so when we rented a taxi for a couple of hours to see the historical sites and... More

we drove up the hill with our own car and had to be very careful to park off the road without scratching the undercarriage as the road is higher than the dirt patch you can park on.The hill is strewn with broken glass from beer bottles and you have to watch were you walk. The windmills are in various state... More

Ootain beautiful windmills what I had seen in local shops with souvenirs. Shipping shifting overlooking shattered, forgotten and deserted ruins. The only beauty that there was a view of Bodrum. That was all. While there, be very careful because the ground is full of broken glass.

Sadly only one of the Windmils is in decent repair but it's worth walking up the hill to look around them and a family sells tea and other drinks from a tent near the site. There are superb views over Bodrum and Gumbet on either side .

Came up the hill to see these only because they were literally up the hill behind our hotel and because we hoped there will be some view. On close look, these ruins are quite awful, you can go inside but there is nothing there and stinks of wee. Only one windmill is little bit more preserved but is protected by... More
