Visited this by complete accident. Excellent history of one Rebel.

We were brought here by a carriage driver. It was never our intention of going. It was pretty reasonable priced to enter and tour. It required a good amount of walking. It was... read more

Not many things to see but interesting about the fight, life and murder of Jose Rizal. Worth the visit but don't expect much. The location near intramuros is pleasant.

Intramuros was the walled city center of Spanish Manila. In one corner is Fort Santiago, which has a very checkered history. It was Built as the primary Spanish Bastion of power in the Philippines and remained so for 400 years. It was also used by the Amaricans, and the Japanese, during WWll. When visiting Fort Santiago, you might as well... More

I visit Fort Santiago every time I am in Manila. It is so full of history and is a (relatively) quiet place to have a picnic if you so desire.

We were brought here by a carriage driver. It was never our intention of going. It was pretty reasonable priced to enter and tour. It required a good amount of walking. It was beautiful and a very well put together and organized museum. Husband and I both enjoyed the history and the story. The staff we interacted with were friendly... More

We usually visits the place way back in grade school for a field trip. Glad I am back after 10 or 15 years. They are renovating the place and not sure if it will preserve the natural beauty or history. Entrance fee is 100 adults/50 kids. Car park 50.00 too.

I visited Intramuros twice in 12 months lately and the park renovation is still not finished. I wonder how long this will take again to complete. In case you bring your own car, there is only 1 parking lot located near the entrance and does not look nice, secure and safe. This parking lot has not changed nor improved for... More

It was taken me into the old century when I saw this place. It is good for memory reflection. I went into the church and saw one couple marriage. It was so romantic couple. After that, I went to the top of one building and see view around over there. I saw foot print and other small museum over there.... More

Fort Santiago is worth a visit for the Rizal shrine - the shrine itself is worth a visit. other parts are nice but not great.

Good to see and feel the history of the Philippines and especially Manila. But it needs more care and attention. Should be a major attraction but a little shabby and uncared for. The museum inside is very interesting and informative Rizal life explained in full detail and you could feel the injustice of the Spanish at that time and the... More
