Must see by any traveler to Manilla. There is a lot of history in this area and must be experienced. There are nice hotels and restaurants to eat at. The architecture is different than in Manila itself and people should visit, even for a short time.

Intramuros protected the Spaniards from chinese pirates and other foreign invaders but the defenses crumbled during the American Spanish war. Since then, Intramuros became victims to political and economic predators: the walls decayed with neglect as the political will allowed the proliferation of informal settlers that to date still c-exist with intermittent attempts of rehabilitation. Until other links captured golfers,... More

Though everybody wants to give you a ride, take the time to walk around as all the attractions are very c;lose to each other. Nice for a few hours.

Intramuros remains untouched, the stone walls, dark wood finish. New establishments use the same style when putting up restaurants. It's houses several museums and restaurants, definitely a place to go to to learn more about history filipino culture and filipino food.

Place to rekindle the past wihitn reach. Rich historical remains on colonial spanish era . Best spot is Barbara's restaurant just accross one of the oldest magnifent San Augustin Church. Where spanish inspired dish being served to top it all with mini Philippine Dance performance. Still interesting and nice to visit again in the future.

I've visited Intramuros twice over the last year. Simply stated, I don't see the appeal. Despite a few old buildings that look to be in disarray...there is so much garbage and stink through out the area it's difficult to enjoy yourself.

I liked this attraction when I first went but now it looks wrecked. Even the footprints have some steps missing. It's a real shame that one if Manila's most.famous landmarks is barely worth a second look

In this Historical and colonial building the Spanish rulers used to rule over the Philippines. A must see. In fact the entire area is an old town with 2 old churches.
